Privacy

What we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you.

The short version

Your email address

When you join free, we store your email address, sign-up time and confirmation status to manage the deals email. Before any deal email, we send one confirmation email. You can unsubscribe anytime or ask us to delete your address.

If you use third-party sign-in, we also keep your email address, the provider's identifier, sign-up time and verification status in a sign-in record. This lets us verify your sign-in. You can ask us to delete this record too.

Support payments

Our payment processor handles optional support payments, including any recurring payments you choose. We never see or store your card number. The processor keeps payment records under its own privacy policy.

What your browser stores

We set no cookies of our own. The site keeps a few small notes in your browser's storage:

• your search, filter and sort choices, which deals you have seen, and visit and deal-click counts;
• your ad-partner choice, sign-up and support-prompt preferences, including a support-banner dismissal for seven days.
• your saved deals: a public deal identifier, label, store, optional internal deal-page path, condition and saved or matched prices, plus any target you choose; no photos, codes or outbound links.

Saved on this device. Your shortlist stays in this browser, needs no account and does not sync between devices. Saved prices and target prices stay in this browser and are checked when you visit. Remove individual saves or use “Clear saved deals” in the Saved view. Clearing this site's browser data also removes the list. If storage is blocked, saves last only for that tab.

Clearing this site's browser data removes these notes.

Browser extension

The wowpriced browser extension collects nothing. The extension downloads our public price list a few times a day and checks prices on your device; it sends nothing about the pages you visit. It reads only the product page address, never page content, prices or cookies. Our hosting provider receives ordinary connection information for the public list downloads, as described below.

The extension keeps its on/off and per-site hiding preferences in your browser's extension storage, which your browser may sync. The public price list stays in local extension storage and does not sync. It downloads at installation, browser startup and every six hours, independently of page visits. Page visits and popup checks make no network requests. A list older than 24 hours is not used; missing or expired data shows nothing until a background refresh. It starts on. It never changes retailer links or affiliate tags, sets cookies, or sends analytics or tracking pixels. Opening a wowpriced page follows that site's privacy choices. You can switch the extension off, hide it on a site or uninstall it.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers that host the site and send email, process payments, support sign-in, and provide analytics and advertising services. They receive the information needed to provide those services. Hosting providers receive your IP address, browser type and page requests to deliver and protect the site.

Analytics, cookies and advertising

When enabled, analytics and advertising services may use cookies and similar technologies to measure site use, improve the site and measure or show our ads.

• Analytics measures visits, page views and actions such as deal clicks. It remains active when you opt out below, with advertising features and ad personalization disabled.
• Session recording records clicks, scrolls and page views to help improve the site. Typed text and account details are masked. It does not load when you opt out or send Global Privacy Control.
• Advertising partners measure visits from ads and free joins, support clicks and deal clicks. They do not load when you opt out or send Global Privacy Control.

These services can see the page address and browser information. Our action reports include the store and category of a clicked deal, never your email address or the item's name or price.

Saved-list actions send only a count and a fixed action label to our analytics provider. We never send your shortlist, deal identifiers or saved labels in these events. The Saved view is masked from session recording.

Affiliate links

When you follow an affiliate link, the retailer or affiliate partner may use cookies or similar technology to attribute a purchase and pay a commission. Their privacy policies apply on their sites. See our affiliate disclosure.

Your privacy choices

Global Privacy Control is a setting in some browsers and extensions that tells every site you visit not to sell or share your data. We treat it as an opt-out.

Deleting your data

Email [email protected] from the address on the email list and ask us to delete it.

Write to us through the contact page from the address on the email list and ask us to delete it.

We delete your email-list and sign-in records when you ask. Our payment processor keeps its own payment records.

Retention

We keep email-list records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Browser preferences remain until they expire or you clear them. Service providers retain usage and payment records according to their policies and any applicable legal requirements.

Unsubscribing removes your email-list record. If you used third-party sign-in, its separate sign-in record stays until you request deletion.

Children

wowpriced is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.

Changes and questions
